Sometimes we just need to be reminded that we are loved and who we are is more than enough. I loved this Angie girl and the sentiments that came with her. I just had to stamp her and color her up.
The stamp set is A Little Warmth, an Angie girl. I suppose technically, she is a little more fall in nature, but she looked powerful to me and ready to take on the world with her coffee, purse and power colors.
I stamped both her and the sentiments with Brutus Monroe Raven ink and colored her up using Copic markers. I decided to cut her image into an oval using a My Favorite Things STAX die that had cross stitch details on it. The diecut behind the girl, is a tonic studios die. I cu that out of some copper mirrored cardstock. I decided to purposely not pop out all of the inside pieces. It gave my card a little more distressed look without too much mess.
Finishing up the card, the “Today” sentiment was popped up and I laid the “remember how loved you are strip just under it. Rounding out the card some copper jewels were added for a little bling. I can’t leave a card without some bling. 🙂
AND…since it is Wednesday, and if you are anything like me, are hoping this week wraps up quickly so I can enjoy the weekend, I thought a 2nd card would be fun. It’s simple, but classic.
Sometimes simple is best. I used one of the butterflies form the Butterfly Beauty Kit. I heat embossed it using some Brutus Monroe Coral embossing powder and then fussy cut it out.
The background was a My Favorite Things coverplate that is no longer available. I placed strips of foam tape behind the thick strips and put it onto a white card base to give it some dimension. I stamped the sentiment, “you were just what I needed.” using Brutus Monroe Raven ink. I got this sentiment in one of the grab bags, so I don’t know what kit it is from, however, a simple search shows these two kits have a sentiment that is very similar. You Are Just What I Needed and Just What I Needed
The butterfly was adhered using some pop dots and finally, some dark blue bling added. They really sparkle when the light hits them just so.
Don’t forget to leave a comment to be eligible for the Unity stamp prize pack at the end of the week. Have a fabulous Wednesday. You’ve got this! Make the day count!!
