Fly me to the moon…

When I saw this stamp, I immediately thought of Frank Sinatra and his song, “Fly Me to the Moon”. I’m one of those that will randomly break into song as I’m working and they are usually Broadway tunes, Christmas carols or old school songs, like this one. I can just picture the one owl singing to the other…

I digress, back to the card. 🙂

Let me introduce you to Everday Wonderful Owls. This is a past Uniquely Unity stamp (August 2017) and it was designed by Tierra Jackson – don’t you just love her images. They are always some of my favorites. I thought these two owls were just the cutest little couple.

I stamped the image using Brutus Monroe Raven Ink. I cut it using a My Favorite Things circle STAX diecut. I like the cross stitch detail along the edges. The owls and moon were colored using COPIC markers. I then used a Wink of Stella pen to add a shimmer of glitter to the moon and sparkles. I used the Honey Bee Stamps Winter Prism Cover Plate and cut out a yellow piece. I adhered the yellow piece to a gray card base.

I used a scrap of Authentique paper and tied a yellow ribbon around it and adhered it to the card. I popped up the owl circle using some foam tape and adhered that to the card. Next, I stamped the sentiment on the same gray cardstock I used for the card base. It is also attached using some foam tape. Finally, the bling! I adhered several transparent yellow jewels to the card.
