We made it! It is finally Friday. We all made it through another week. You guys all hung out with me all week, so thanks for the support! I hope I provided a little inspiration along the way.

Today I leave you with 2 cards. Both of these cards use some of the amazing border background stamps that Unity has. These border backgrounds provide you with an easy card to create. I will take some time, every couple of months, to stamp out several of the border background images, color them up and leave them. Then, whenever I need a thank you card, a sympathy card, a just because or whatever themed card, I can easily add a sentiment and some bling and I’m good to go.

Strawberry Fields Border Background

I chose this background because this is the time of the year here in Houston that we can go strawberry picking at a local farm. It’s something I enjoy doing with my mom every year.

I stamped the image and used Gina K Designs Detail Gold Embossing Powder I colored the image using COPIC markers. I cut out the thank you from red cardstock and the background using some vellum. The thank you die is by CZ Designs at Simon Says Stamps To finish it off, I added some red peal jewels to the card.

She Sells Sea Shells Border Background

The second border background that I chose was this beautiful shell stamp. I spend several of my vacations on the beautiful island of St. John in the USVI. I had to color this up to give me a little beach time.

I also stamped this using Gina K Designs gold embossing powder and colored it using COPIC markers. I cut the word Beautiful three times from coral cardstock. I stacked them on top of each other to provide a thicker sentiment. Finally I added some coral jewels to give it a little bling.

And that’s a wrap folks. I truly enjoyed spending this week with you at Unity Stamp. I hope you enjoyed spending it with me. Last little reminder, leave a comment here to be eligible for a prize pack from Unity.

  1. These cards are just outstandingly beautiful. I never think to emboss large background stamps but this is one I will be trying this weekend. Thanks for a great week.

  2. I can see that you are ready for a change of seasons, it’s too early for Strawberry Season in CT, but your card made me hungry for strawberries, the seashells are another season away and can’t get here fast enough for me. Great cards, great week.

  3. Wow!! Excellent finale! 🙂 Wonderful job on these two Unity border backgrounds! I am inspired to try to emboss next time I use the strawberry stamp (seashells stamp still on my love list/wishlist) I am not a copic person, I am sure that the golden embossing will still be striking, after seeing your results. Your week has been great! Until next time!!
